Bunny FAQ'S Baby Bunnies Our baby bunnies go home at 8 weeks of age. A 50% deposit is required to hold a bunny. Once the deposit is received we email a Sales Agreement. Bunnies are all first come, first served and all bunny sales are final. The agreed upon pickup date, time, and location are all stated in your Sales Agreement. Sexing Baby Bunnies Sexing baby bunnies is extremely hard. Male bunnies do not drop their testicles until 4-months of age. Although we have sexed hundreds of baby bunnies and are often right about their gender, once in a while we get it wrong which is why the term "speculate" is used in the Sales Agreement as it is our educated guess. If you're adamant that you need a specific gender, we recommend purchasing a rabbit that is 6-months or older and inspecting that rabbit yourself to ensure its sex. Bunny Feed Recommendations We feed our bunnies Manna Pro Select Series SHO Formula with a hay/alfalfa supplement. We also recommend only feeding your baby bunnies pellets and a hay mix until they are 6 months of age and nothing else (no treats). Our bunnies drink out of water bowls and may need to learn how to use a water dripper. Bunny Care & Breeding Bunnies can be very easy to care for but please conduct your own research prior to purchasing. We do not provide breeding information. Bunny Farm Tours We are very careful with the health of our farm animals and because disease can spread on clothing and shoes, we do not allow people to visit our farm. Returns/Refunds I'm sorry but there are absolutely no returns or refunds and all sales are final and deposits are non-refundable. Quail & Egg FAQ'S Egg Fertility & Extra Eggs Our eggs are gathered as soon as they are laid, in the evening, and stored properly (skinny end down, rotated, unwashed, 50-degree temperature). We have had customers with hatch rates as high as 98% and as low as 13%. Hatching is difficult, especially for shipped eggs from any seller. Most shipped eggs have a 50% hatchability rate due to the shipping process so expect that rate, it's very hard on the eggs - because of this we do not provide a guaranteed hatching rate. Complimentary extra eggs are provided to help compensate the rough way USPS handles eggs during the shipping process - how many depends on what we have on hand. Egg Shipments We ship USPS Priority Mail 1-3 Business Days (unless you are in Reno then we ship ground). We ship in the order received (no cuts in line). Shipments can vary from the next day to ten business days. You will be notified via email by PayPal when your eggs have shipped, PayPal will provide you with a tracking number. We do not monitor weather in destination cities, please be advised that if it is too cold/hot where you live, we suggest you wait to order until the weather in your area is more reasonable. We ship our eggs the same day or next day they have been laid. Eggs do not lose fertility until after the 10th day so please be patient and allow USPS time to make their deliveries. We do not advise leaving your eggs in the mailbox or on a front porch. No international sales please. We do not ship with heat or cold packs. Chick Incubation, Animal Care, and Breeding Although each box of fertile eggs comes with hatching instructions, please ensure you have conducted proper incubation research prior to purchase. Additionally, please conduct chick brooding, animal care, and breeding advice prior to purchase, we do not provide this information. Google and YouTube are both excellent sources. Farm Tours & Local Pickup We are very careful with the health of our farm animals and because disease can spread on clothing and shoes, we do not allow people to visit our farm. For egg orders, we sometimes offer local pickup for very large orders (40+ eggs paid in advance) - but often we are unfortunately too busy to meet locally as we both work full time and have small children (see below). Feed Recommendations We feed our quails Purina Gamebird Starter 30% protein and a calcium supplement. Birds will not lay without 30% protein and 12+ hours of light per day. Returns/Refunds I'm sorry but there are absolutely no returns or refunds, all sales are final and deposits are non-refundable. About US About Us & Proceeds We are a small hobby farm. We both work full time (our jobs are very demanding) and have small children in sports. As you can imagine after PayPal takes their cut, USPS theirs, coupled with the costs of shipping materials, feeding & caring for the animals, and federal taxes; there isn't much profit to be had in this hobby. However, if we do manage to turn a profit all proceeds go 100% to the college funds of our two sons and we sincerely thank you for that!!! |
